I got my 20" imac about a month ago and am very happy with it. However i have my imac on an unstable computer disk and am worried incase it will damage my imac.

Any time i lean on the table or hit it accidently the imac shakes slightly. It doesn't shake that badly i'm just wondering if even slight movment would do any internal damage that could affect any of the componets and cause them going loose?

Putting it on a computer disk is probably the problem!

But in all seriousness, just get a new desk, if you cant afford one, the wobbling shouldn't be any problem just like you wouldn't worry about a laptop wobbling on your lap. I would be more worried about the imac falling of the desk!

I get the same problem except it's not my desk that's wobbly...... I think it's my iMac. I'm going to call Apple see if they have any ideas or if I should send it back for repair.

That's a very misleading title. I thought you had a problem with your iMac.

if you're so worried, why don't you get a proper desk? i mean, c'mon... you spent good money on the mac, now spend some more on a proper desk. ;)

The simple and minimalist desks are always more expensive, it sucks!

I agree with others. Might as well be proactive and avoid any future disasters and just get a sturdy desk for your new :apple: investment ;)
