In the App Store I have tons of app updates available but when I click the "update" button, it just opens the app. Also the "update all" button is greyed-out. Is this because I'm running an old iOS?

Here is a thread from a couple weeks ago about it. https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1799907/ I found that if you turn on auto updates, it will be hard to tell it is working, but it will update. I eventually went to 8.XX and it worked for me.
