my updating/restoring. is taking forever

Why is it taking so long to update and restore my icloud and it won't even update to 8.1... Any ideas? Its a 6 plus....

Mine took about 20 minutes, even though the time estimator said 2 hours.

You are doing this on wifi, right, not cell?

Yeah. Its the downloading etc of my apps etc. It usually only takes maybe 30 min. And yes wifi.

A long time. But i think i figured out what it is. Probably because of the way that Apple doesn't have the newest software so its trying to do too much at once. Guess i just have to be patient.

The time is simply determined by the amount of stuff it needs to put back on the phone, e.g., 100 apps takes longer than 10 apps. A slow internet will also drag it out.

I am really frustrated. This still isnt working. Trying a reset. Ugh.

despite all the love for updating/restoring OTA, doing those hardwired with iTunes is still the best option...
