My user account disappeared on my imac

I have a 2015 iMac running high Sierra. I restarted my Mac and now I can't log in. At the login in screen my user account is no longer there. Only shows the option for username and password. When I enter it it doesnt work. Has anyone had this happen to them?

This is one of the login options you can set in the Users & Groups preferences. Try first and last name together (with a space between them), assuming you didn't make any wild name that only you would ever guess.
