Hi Team
My macbook pro restarted by itself and when i logged back in, a completely new user profile had been created,
can i get my old profile back?

Any Help?

Thanks in advanced

What folders do you still have in /Users/? If the old one is still there, you can get it back.

I have never, ever heard of this happening.
Are you sure it's a "different" user account?

Hi Team
a completely new profile was created with the right folder name, but everything was empty.
Run permissions commands on folders from the terminal, but nothing, those folders were totally new, otherwise, they were not mine.
A very strange thing, I think that during the boot the profile was damaged and the system created a totally new one and my folders are in some temporary, because the disk is still full
Thanks all people for your support

I had the exact same thing happen to me when updating the OS (Big Sur 11.6.6).
After a reboot, all users/apps were gone and I had to create a new user.
All data was moved to "%yourSSDname%/Previous Content/".
Does this folder exist in your case?
In my case, a previous CarbonCopyCloner restore must have messed something up on the boot drive.
I solved it by restoring an older backup and updating then.
