Just got my first Apple Watch and I love it.

However, when sitting in the charger at night in night stand mode and with don not disturb activated it wakes me up with a "pling" noise in the middle of the night?

Do you have any notifications after this happens? Does it coincide with any other events on the watch or phone? I assume you have tried rebooting it?

Nothing what so ever itt just comes with a single “piling” and lights up the screen with the Night Stand Layout and that is it.

no event on phone or watch

The ping sound with temporary screen light up means the watch has started charging again. Are you using a brand new charger? Is the watch stable while charging and not subject to any rocking or vibration?

It is a brand new but not original charger combined with an crawle from Amazon.

I will try to charge it with the original charger tonight

Dirt can affect the charging connection,

In addition to cleaning the watch, every so often I have to clean my charger, as sweat and dirt will transfer from the back of my watch, build up, and cause charging issues. It doesn't look like much dirt is on there, but a quick wipe with a slightly damp cloth normally fixes it.

Also, if you've not removed the protective film on the charger you need to do that, as that extra space can cause issues.

That happens to me too! I use a ps4 to charge it but it’s really odd because it doesn’t happen with my phone or anything else. It just randomly stops charging then starts again I guess
