I just got a mac 2 months ago. I've just noticed that my widgets are not working can someone help me? I also notice that "sudo rm -R" command for terminal doesn't work.

Start by removing the corresponding preference file(s). Open /users/yourusername/library/preferences/ look for com.apple.dashboard.plist
Delete it and see if it helps.

This might seem like a stupid suggestion but did you try rebooting already? If you have try to repair permissions its in Application/Utilities/Disk Utilities

Same problem

Hi Jr23

I realise that your post is very old, but I have encountered the same problem. Did you solve it? (Mine may have come about from using CleanmyMac.)

Thanks
GAH

/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/widget-com.apple.widget.calendar.plist

Is it all widgets, or just certain ones?
Look for files like the above also. Move the offending ones to your Desktop, then try to open widgets. You might even need to Restart the computer.

if anyone has a fix please say so!
