I just got a mac 2 months ago. I've just noticed that my widgets are not working can someone help me? I also notice that "sudo rm -R" command for terminal doesn't work.
Start by removing the corresponding preference file(s). Open /users/yourusername/library/preferences/ look for com.apple.dashboard.plist
Delete it and see if it helps.

This might seem like a stupid suggestion but did you try rebooting already? If you have try to repair permissions its in Application/Utilities/Disk Utilities
Is it all widgets, or just certain ones?
Look for files like the above also. Move the offending ones to your Desktop, then try to open widgets. You might even need to Restart the computer.
😱
this happened to me also! It happened after I installed some dock hacks though and had appcleaner... i think it was appcleaner but it sucks cause i need that calculator!
I was using superdocker to edit my dock and it crashed on me while restarting my dock not my dock is missing and my computer is really slow I cant even opens safari on it
