Here are some stuff that bothered me for some time about Apples products. Yes I know some of these are nit picky but hopefully they are so small Apple would actually consider changing/fixing them. I would also like to hear what you guys wish Apple would fix or change.
iPhone
- Colors
Apple should add more "masculine" colors. Maybe a green or blueish anodized tint. Even having Gold and Rose Gold iPhone's with a black front cover glass would look very cool.
- Live Photos
Apple fixed the major issues where it kept recording even after you out the phone down. But one issues I have is with viewing them. As I swipe through my pictures, the pictures are still and only show the live preview when I finish. Why can’t the Live Photos match my swiping. So as I’m swiping you can see the photos come to life. If I’m swiping really slow the Live Photo should be active at the same pace in slow motion. If I swipe really fast through my pictures it should play very fast. It looks like it is lagging behind when I swipe then have to wait to see the cool affect. Making the pictures begin playing right when you start swiping is going to make for a much more fun experience.
- OLED / mLED Screen
The Apple Watch looks amazing mostly from its OLED screen. It blends in with the black curved bezel so nice! The iPhone 6s has horrible blacks compared to it. Even Jony mentioned it at the iPhone 6 announcement!

- Wallpaper
Add more Dynamic wallpaper. There isn’t a huge demand for custom dynamic wallpaper but Apple should add some more options. There is only one design and in different colors.
- iPhone 6/6s Plus Size
The iPhone 6/6s Plus is a huge phone. Not just because of the larger screen but because of the bezels. There are numerous phones with bigger screens and are much more compact then the iPhone. There has to be some room to slim the bezels without ruining the symmetrical look of the iPhone.
Apple Watch
- Watch Faces
Custom Watch Faces is where all the other smart watches outshine the Apple Watch. I want to have a watch face that reflects who I am. I want a cool spy watch face, I want a unique 3d abstract, a Star Trek, Metal Gear Solid… Where I’m going at is owners are mostly going to be staring at the watch face the most and we should be able to pick from a much more diverse selection. Right now we are forced to use pictures to make custom faces.
My advice (more like demand) is to make the process of making a Watch Face, similar to making a iPhone app. Apple is blocking numerous of creative ideas. Just think how much percent of iPhone users use only stock wallpapers? A good chunk find their own, and in the smart watch category we need live, interactive, fun watch faces. Not just pictures. I hope to see this announced for Watch OS 3.
- Size
Apple is famous for slimming down its products. It wouldn’t hurt to slim the Apple Watch a tad if it doesn’t affect battery life when a new revision is in order. It would be great if the screen bezel can be reduced a little to make room for a bigger screen without increasing the size of the body.
Macbook Pro/Air
- Touch ID
Touch ID came out with the iPhone 5s. Its been over 2 years now and Touch ID has advanced so much. It is extremely fast, reliable, and of course secure. We should see this come to the Macbook lineup. It actually should of came on the Macbook first! iPhone passwords mostly consist of 4 numbers. On the Macbook, its usually much longer and complicated. We also store much more important files on a laptop vs phone. Its time to add Touch ID to the Mac.
- GPU
Here is the problem. If I want a dedicated GPU on my Macbook, I have to spend $2499.00. WHAT! The biggest drawback with Mac’s are their need to have crappy integrated GPU's and require you to spend way over budget to get a decent GPU. I can get a $700 Windows laptop with a better GPU then a $2,000 Macbook Pro. The least Apple can do is add dedicated GPU’s to base model 15” Macbook Pro. When the first 15” Retina Macbook Pro came out in 2012 it had a dedicated GPU at the entry price.
- Keyboard
With the new Macbook introduced, it came with the new Butterfly Mechanism which are actually much more stable then current keys in the rest of the Macbook lineup! Why not use the Butterfly Mechanism on ALL Macbook Air, and Macbook Pro laptops? Since these laptops are thicker then the Macbook, you can make the Butterfly Mechanism taller and have the same travel distance as the previous Scissor keys but be much more stable!
Apple SHOULD NOT reduce the travel distance and make the same exact Keyboard in the Macbook come to the Macbook Pro and Air. Use the same Butterfly Mechanism but make it taller since there is room for it. It will be one of the best laptop keyboard's ever engineered! The same sturdy Mechanism as the Macbook, but with the travel distance on the Macbook Pro/Air. Another thing is the backlighting. We need that individual led backlighting keyboard on the Macbook Pro/Air.
- Battery
Use terraced battery technology in the Macbook Pro/Air if possible to achieve longer battery life.
- Colors
Make more anodized versions to match the Macbook.
- Facetime Camera
Add a decent camera!
TLDR:
Please for the love of god bring more of these new engineering feat. in the new Macbook to the rest of the Macbook lineup!
