I have the latest developer install and it is not working. While the drive shows up under devices, time machine cannot connect over the network. 🙁

Thanks for the reply, I read on WD forums that there will be a firmware fix.

i have never managed to get to work under Mountain Lion either
shows up in Finder but TM doesn't find the drive

Have you enabled Time Machine in the drive settings > system > Mac Backup?

yes i have but Airport Utility can't find the drive but it shows in finder and is accessible

New firmware is out.

WD just posted the firmware for the MyBookLive that fixes this issue with Mavericks connection problem. I installed it and Time Machine connected perfectly.🙂
