Mysterious marks on TB

Can anyone help identify what these marks are on my TB? They have simply appeared...

Looks like the constellation Orion. Better put your tin foil hat on quickly! (or just wipe them off, as I would)

Unfortunately, wiping does nothing.

Unfortunately, wiping does nothing.

Then I will identify them as persistent dirt. Perhaps a fingernail will get them up.

Seriously, they look like small indentations as if something pointed has made them to me....?

It’s as though the marks are underneath the glass on the LED itself. Can’t see how on earth anything could have scratched the glass. No damage elsewhere and certainly nothing on the main screen. Laptop always in sleeve and looked after etc.

Slightly annoyed as it’s come from nowhere. I’m sure I’ll get over it but I’d love to know what happened!

Has anyone else has a scratch to the the TB?

Does the TB use Gorilla Glass?

If it goes away when machine is powered completely off Looks like pixel failure
