I was hoping to jailbreak my iPod but for some reason I cannot back up through iTunes. I first tried at my girlfriends house and it froze at about 30 percent. So I went home and tried to do a backup. Same damn thing. Both on my pc and mac.
Now, when it backs up does iTunes take a image of the flash drive? Could this mean that my iPods drive is corrupt?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. It backed up fine when I upgraded to 3.0 ( which I did legally BTW).

It only backs up your iPod's settings and the settings of the App Store apps you have installed, it doesn't back up any of your other data (for example, the apps themselves, your music, photos or videos - Apple kinda expects you to already have all that on your computer). Can you still actually sync through iTunes?

Ya I can sync fine.. And considering it takes so bloody long to back up I kinda figured it backs everything up.. If its only settings it should only take a couple minutes..

I started it about 3 hours ago and it seems to be getting somewhere now.. such a pain in the ass
