Mystery/Ghost tapping

My iphone is registering taps on the screen when the device is not in use. For instance, if I unlock the device it will open the calculator app and just keep pressing numbers. Any app has this problem, the iPod app will just random click songs and playlists...

anyone else ever have this issue? i've tried restarting the iphone and forcing a hard reset, yet the problem persists. help!!

This happened to a friend. He went to the Genius bar and they instantly replaced it😀

ok, thanks! i figure i'll try a restore and failing that it's off to the genius bar.
