I have an iBook G3 Blueberry, pre FireWire. I got it for Christmas a few years ago cause my family know I’m into retro computers. But I noticed it’s case is different to the norm, the places that are usually opaque white are competent transparent (see pictures). I can’t find any documentation that one was sold like this. However there is a clear case mod for these (see link) that gets roughly the same result. But those are a lot of work and non of the details from its listing claimed it to be modded. Also that kid kid affects the bottom of the shell and mine is opaque there. If there’s any definitve answer here that would be awesome. Thanks

This is a post for the PowerPC forum. Interesting, Apple prototypes sometimes are transparent to facilitate inspection, yours is not totally transparent as the usual prototypes are.

It's a mod, the aluminium shielding have been removed from the top case and screen bezel, but not on the bottom case (more difficult, you have to remove every components inside...).
