New to the MyWi, will this cost anything if I use the tethering or does it completely bypass at&t's tethering stuff??

You will still be responsible for the data you use but you won't have to pay AT&T for the tethering

Has anyone successfully gotten MyWi to work on 4.0? I have paid for the older version on my 3GS 6 months ago and I hope I don't have to pay for the new 4.0 version. Can anyone help me out getting this program running on 4.0?

Can't you just downgrade to 4.0 to get it? I don't know about you, but for me it would be worth it!
yes it works.... if you had mywi 3.0, it will cost you $10 to upgrade to mywi 4.0.... regular price is $20 for new users
Actually there are few MyWi and one of them will work 4.01. Sorry for the false alarm.
I finally got MyWi working. I had get it from rock in order for it to work. Yes, you have to keep Rock with MyWi due to some licensing issues. What wrong with leaving it there?
my tethered connection is twice as fast as my home dsl..too bad theres no unlimited data plans here.
Umm see my thread on how to get unlimited using a loophole. Because I bought my phone june 24th and signed up, getting the 2gb/month plan, but am now on unlimited
you can also use sbsettings to hide the rock icon from your home screen. or any app, for that matter.
not really a big deal to have it and never have to see it.
cannot find Rock App or MyWi on Cydia
just jailbroke my iphone 3g running iOS 4.0.1 with Cydia yesterday... worked fine. looked for MyWi and Rock, found them both, but was unable to download them. today i looked for both but found neither.

I was able to download Rock and MyWi to my 3GS about two hours ago. I just looked and it's still there in Cydia.
wow, i must be screwing something up... I'm in Cydia right now, set my preference to "developer" and searched for both... found neither.
