MyWi not working with New Verizon iPad 4G

My MyWi tethering app from my ATT iPhone 4a works on my iPad 2 but not on my iPad 3. It picks up the bars and says it's connected but then won't open any safari pages because it's "not connected to the Internet" -- thoughts?
