MyWi on iPhone 4

I'm new to the whole jailbreaking world and a bit confused as to how I get MyWi onto my iPhone 4. I don't mind paying for it, I just can't seem to find it anywhere. I'm also not sure how to download "Rock" it doesn't come up in the search within Cydia.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.

right now you will not be able to get it regardless because of server overload. but search for mywi. you will see mywi 4.0.. that is what you need. to find rock, search for rockapp. when you dl mywi it will download rock as well. hopefully tonight or tomorrow servers will clear up
 
Search for MyWi on Cydia. It probably won't show up every time because the repository hosting it keeps going up and down.

MyWi 4.0 comes with Rock App bundled with it.
 
Go to cydias search and enter Mywi.
It will show up.
Make sure you install the 4.3.4 version.
It will download and install mobile substrace, Rock and Mywi all at once.
Then you can use it for 10 days for free and decide if you want to keep it for $20
 
I think I've figured it out. I need to add modmyi.com/cydia to the Sources.
 
Looks like it's now showing up in search, but I keep getting a "Host Unreachable" error. Too much load on their server?
 
Yeah.. Servers are still getting hammered. I expected everything to be better today.. Guess I was wrong.. I don't know how many times I've tried to download an app and Cyrus says the server couldn't be reached
 
Don't be surprised if you get more and different errors, too. Keep trying, it'll work eventually.
 
For USB tether on MyWi 4.0, do you need to have iTunes installed on the machine? Does it work like native tether option?

I was able to download and install it about 2 hours ago. It took me about 10 tries, but eventually it went through.

On a related note, it works great, and I am loving the faster tethering speeds with the iPhone 4.
 
I'm confused. I paid for MyWi no rock for my 3gs. I'm not seeing a no-rock iPhone 4 version. AND, would I be grandfathered in with my $10 or do I have to pay another $10 for the upgrade (if I can find one). ???
 
I am wondering the same thing. I don't really need the new version with its goodies and don't want to pay another $10 for an update. Can we use the older version with an iphone 4?
 
i keep getting errors trying to download my3g from apt.modmyi.com. Either it says host unreachable or it starts downloading and gives an error saying "size mismatch"

anyone get my3g to work?

non-wifi facetime?

Unfortunately in order to use it on the iP4 you have to use the 4.0 version which means you have to pay the extra 9.99. I don't like it either, cause I got it for my wife's 3gs a couple of months ago. But hey it's better than the alternative...

How could you not like it and complain at all, for a one time fee of chump change, you can get free tethering.....the dev is saving you $20-$30/month depending on your service, so dont complain please
 
Thank you. OK, But I'm not seeing a no-rock version. I've had rock before and it was a nightmare for me and a biatch to remove.

Is it just not available yet or am I missing something? I refuse to install the rock version

I didn't see him complain. Also, did SB say it was a one-time fee? Because the $9.99 fee was apparently not.
