From A Buick 8 said:Good to hear. I am no longer getting a cell phone from my work, so I am in the market for a phone. Was trying to decide between a Verizon or AT&T iPhone. My iPad is wifi only, so I wanted a way to connect from time to time.
These things are pretty expensive though.

iTether uses low power Bluetooth. MyWi drains the battery
So put TetherMe on your iPhone and iTether on the iPad.
I am 99.9% positive that AT&T isn't able to know if you are tethering or not. It's all just to scare you (only those with unlimited data). The only thing MyWi does is make your phone into a hotspot -that's it. It doesn't send some weird signal to AT&T telling them you are tethering through MyWi. AT&T is trying to get the people with the unlimited data to a 2 GB plan or tethering plan. They don't want people with the unlimited anymore.
