Mywi questions

I downloaded mywi on my 3GS, it's tethering to my iPad with 3G very well I am glad I didn't get the 3G iPad. I knew tethering would be an option, quick question though. During the 9 day trial did any of you realize you don't need miwi because you found most spots you use your iPad already has an open wifi connection. I don't want to spend 10 bucks on something I really don't need, anyone else been stuck in this position?

It all depends on your own personal needs. For myself, I have a 1 hour+ subway commute and that's where MyWi comes in handy. If you are always going to be in a static place, then there is no need for MyWi but it is indispensible for those on the move.
