I'm stumped. I've tried Barkman's scripts, etc. PPP connection error every time. Is there like an app I can run to connect the two and have it just work like I can for Windows, or failing that can anyone point me to settings? I'd like to connect at least the O2-connected N95 to start with.

it's easy,
download the isync plug-in for os x from nokia website
http://www.nokia.co.uk/A4630759
and set up bluetooth connection in the device set-up wizard. in phone number field put "*99#" and leave the rest blank. it works perfectly with my leopard and syncs nicely too with isync! 😎😎😎

oh btw of course you need to define the access point settings on your n95 first. basically as long as you can connect to the internet on your handset, it should also work for your mac.

Yup - no problems accessing the net from the N95, and no problems with the (easily) installed PC utility on my Windows notebook.

On the Mac - I set Nokia as the phone type, GPRS as the connection type (only option), APN as mobile.o2.co.uk. Phone connects, nuthin happens beyond 'Connecting', then a PPP error.

nope you don't need to type in any other information beyond the magic phone number "*99#". in advanced settings, choose "Nokia" as the vendor, "GPRS (GSM/3G)" as the model, leave APN blank, set CID to "1". then it should work.
😱😱😱

Still no joy.

It may as well be completely useless without built-in 3G or BT tethering.

Any more suggestions, anyone?
