that RED Scarlett is gonna be sweet for the indies - they must all be selling their Sony V1s as we speak!

That Matrox IO looks cool too. Seems to be the competitor the the AJA IOHD?

Keep in mind that Scarlett was only announced. It won't be shipping until some time in 2009.

OK - still looks like a nice bit of kit. You;d have to expect Sony/Panasonic to come up with something in the same vein soon.

The RED was announced years ago - the other camera makers must be close to releasing something similar.

You'd think they would have already. But the traditional manufacturers (Sony, Panasonic, etc) do their planning long term. It's hard for them to break out of that mindset and take off in a totally new direction quickly.
