What's the back of the 8 plus like for scratches?

I've taken my case off as it's so nice without but does the new glass scratch easy?

I've never used a case on any of my phones and have never regretted it. That said, with my X I've opted for AppleCare+ for the exact reason you mentioned (back glass repair cost). I also use a wallet-type sleeve to help protect it from scratching.

Get a Peel or Totallee case...super thin, and the phone doesn't even look like it has a case on it. That's what I did and I don't regret it.

The glass will scratch, however; the term _Easily_ would depend on how you treat your iPhone and what type of surface you set it on or if you carry your phone in your pocket with keys for example. But if you’re somewhere that’s concerned with scratches, then I would certainly consider utilizing a case.

It's inevitable that you'll get scratches if you use the 8 Plus naked. Even if they're just micro scratches / swirls - they'll still happen.

I’ve had my silver 8+ since launch day. I can’t see any scratches but there could be some that aren’t perceptible because of the color.

I don’t put my phone on hard surfaces other than at home when I’m sure there isn’t any debris that could scratch it.

Same. Out of force of habit, I never set my iPhone down on a hard surface, unless it’s on something soft. Although they are fairly durable, it’s just a ritual I do when I’m not using a case.

It does scratch easily.
I’ve had a case on mine since day one and have used it a couple of times naked.

Small micro scratches on the back corners - you have to look at the right angle and light but it does scratch.

Yes, the glass back does scratch. I use my X without a case, without worrying about the surface I put it on. I do have some small scratches on the corner opposite to the camera, that being the only one properly touching the surface the phone is on.
