Naked iPhone 6

I paid over a $1000 for my iPhone 6+ so I'm not going to risk the screen shattering or it getting dinged up by letting it go naked. And I find it way too slippery to hold. I know that it would slip right on the ground and shatter into a million pieces while my heart breaks.

But if you must go naked you should invest in a matte decal wrap so it won't be so slippery.

That's the thing of it, though.

At the end of the year, when my kids and I go to trade in our old phones and get our new ones, their phones, having been in cases all year, come out looking much worse than mine, which has been naked all year. Mine looks new, theirs look like they've been around block ... a lot. There's no way to stop grit from getting into the case and creating a ton of micro-scratches and scuffs all over the phone.

Typical - We think it's a valuable device. They know no difference. Happy days Dad ;)

You must be one of the lucky ones who are able to walk around with a naked phone and not destroy it. I have a couple of friends like that well. I get so jealous of them.lol

I'm clumsy as hell so I tend to drop my phone often. I remember back when I had a galaxy s2, I let that thing go naked then I dropped and got a big dent on the side. So after that cases for all my phones is a must.

I even have to put a shell my mbp. With my old 2012 mbp I ran into a door frame while holding my mbp and that a got a big ol dent right near the hinge. Soon as I got my 2015 mbp I slapped a shell on it.

I generally change my case about once every couple of weeks so when I take off the old case I just give my phone I quick wipe off then slap it back on. So I haven't experienced the micro scratch issue.

I do not like case so I don't out any. I used to buy cases but always seems wasteful. I get insurance on all my devices and usually case + screen protector costs + 20 is similar to insurance/apple care. Run naked all day everyday and if there is an issue you get a replacement.

But what's your insurance deductible?
