Really though, I think Apple it done with cats. "Lion" implies the final bastion of strength and power. Plus, a Lion can kick any other feline's ass.

That is a really good point. It is very common for a lot of other software releases to increment the most significant digit in the release number way before the less significant digits run out. So I think it is likely that "11" is already in the works in Cupertino. But what animal can compete with the cat pantheon of Apple.
Well we have the Cat thing, and every Mac has some kind of mouse. The comedic pecking order has always been mouse<cat<dog. So ladies and gentleman the logical conclusion is Apple OS 11 Wolf.
Followed by Timber Wolf, Husky, Samoyed, Border Collie, German Shepherd etc.
Though I think a better animal family might be Fish or birds.
OS 11 Stingray?
OS 11 Falcon?
Oh jeez now I'm getting all 60's car names on yall.
