Hi, when I want to exit the nano text editor in the Terminal application I am used to pressing [control+x] However I cannot find a way to perform the same button combination on my iPhone. The option is there displayed as [^x Exit] but I don't see an 'option' key on my virtual keyboard and cannot find a way to cleanly exit the application and save my changes.
Can anyone advise how I can exit the editor and save my changes? Thanks in advance.

Try using the black dot in the middle right of the keyboard for ctrl. I'm not sure what it's supposed to be in official apps, but it works for ctrl in terminal.
