I’m looking for comparison pictures of the nano-texture on any Apple displays vs. the matte coating on other displays. Does anyone have close-up pictures of some text on a white background?

I had a look at the nano texture on the Apple Pro Display XDR and was just as disappointed with it as I was with 08/15 displays with a matt coating. In a direct side-by-side comparison, Apple's nano-texture will certainly perform slightly better, but in comparison to a glossy coating, it is and remains a deterioration in picture quality for me.
I've had the same results. I just couldn't stand the dull colors and "not quite white" of matte coated screens compared to the glass screens in the ASD.

I wish more users could get to the heart of the matter as you have described it. I feel the same way and I'm angry at users who say they want to use a high-resolution display but don't realize how much the matte finish impairs this quality.Well there's no need to be "angry" about what hardware other people use. I mean, I hate Android-based phones and therefore don't buy them. But I certainly don't feel any anger toward people who do... in fact, I couldn't care less what other people buy if I tried.I love you!
