Napoleon: Total War on MBP

    Has anyone tried it on a macbook pro? Curious if itll work, im looking to buy the game but not sure if my comp can handle it. Specs are in the sig. :confused:

    never heard of it! is it any good?

    the 330M is a new GPU - basically any game will run on medium settings or better. :)

    Yeah, its the latest in the total war series. you might have heard of rome:total war? :)

    dont hate me, but no i havent.

    i have heard of cossacks. is this game RTS? worth it? im very much into war games :D

    Yeah its RTS, well Rome: Total war was very worth it. One of my favorite games. not sure of napoleon though havent tried it yet :p . try googling it

    It worked on my old 2.53/9600 512MB MBP fine. Don't expect maxed out graphics, but it makes a very good stab at Medium.

    any reports on FPS? how would it run on ze 4850?

    It'll run better than the 9600GT, so you should be able to push some of the options up. Beyond that, dunno!

    haha @2560x1440? i dont think so lol. ill have to down scale i reckon. now to find the games...

    Turn AA off (as it's pointless at that resolution) and you'll be suprised.

    ok :) once i acquire the game ill give it a goski :D

    rome is from 2004, so i dont think it will be very intense lol

    Oh, if you're talking about Rome then you'll be able to max it out. Napoleon and Empire are the ones I was talking about ;)

    TBH, I prefer Napoleon and Empire to the earlier titles, simply due to the missile weapons. The older games relied very much on melee, which generally dissolved in to a mess!

    good old melee! reminds me of dynasty warriors :D what a great series.

    fine fine ill skip rome and go for the other two :D are they both osx compatible?

    Alas no, Windows only. Rome is the only one in the series ported so far AFAIK :(
