I've been trying different things to help get to sleep, I've been having a lot of trouble with that lately. I listen to "Ambient Music Deep Sleep". No drums, no vocals, just white noise with a bit of new-agey type music. Very soothing, great for meditation.

hmm need to try that...

I used to listen to music to sleep to, before that I'd have a DVD playing but watching a film is too much of an active thing, apparently.
I now listen to audio books.
The one I'm listening to at the moment is The Hobbit. It's very good.
I use an app called iSleep which, after a specified time, will stop iTunes and put my PowerBook to sleep.

Well, when I want to take a nap, I'll listen to music to calm me and make me tired, but I don't actually sleep with the iPod on. When I'm tired enough, I turn it off. :D
