I like it. It is creative. It appeals to a major target audience of downloading music (Males age 12 to ????? ). And I've seen ads go much further.

Yeah, I bet most guys seeing this will feel so soiled and used.

Lowest denominator advertising — thanks for warning everybody here.

I dunno. I wouldn't say I was offended by it, as I'm not easily offended (mind like sewer, etc :D ).

However, it makes me very uninclined to buy from from Napster, as it seems as if it it's a company that is completely irrelevant to me. It's obviously aimed at guys, it's really tacky and assumes the viewer's a bit dumb, in my opinion. As I am a intelligent, classy lady, it kind of misses the mark. ;)

Having said that, the website's quite nicely done (as long as you're in the right browser).

I just don't think ads like this really work and it seems like a desperate attempt for Napster.

It gets old because if we want porn we can get it already. It's like, they should've just gone all the way with the strip or chose a different way to advertise. I'd be more inclined to use Napster if it was competitive and Jack Black was in the ad or something funny.

Doesn't work in all browsers? Lost my business there. (Though they never had my business to begin with anyway. The ad reminds me why.)

Nothing new. Advertisers know that sex sells. It's the #1 thing to use to grab people's (men's in this case) attention.

My question is how many customers do they loose from an ad like this. We all know sex sells but this is a service used by more than guys. After G is a great example of what I mean.

Tasteless? Perhaps, but I think it very effectively gets the point across. What I'm wondering is, if we join Napster do we get to see the whole thing? (not that I ever would, just curious...

It might work if they did that but I already know where to get porn, I don't need Napster for that.:p

This was reported last week..

anyway, while I applaude the 'cleverness' of the whole idea of 30 second previews, I'm not so sure this is an appropriate ad. I mean, I like strippers as much as the next mysoginist...

I agree with that. This ad assumes that everyone out here is a prepubesent dork with little intellegence. I think this ad is gonna backfire.
