i have never heard of skullcandy before in the UK (surrey) and i can see why. regardless of the sound, they look absolutely disgraceful. when i see something like that, i will ignore quality and just be completely prejudice against them because of the look. i own a pair of Bose QC2 (yes they are Bose, now bugger off whoever says that bose are this and that, i dont care since i personally think they sound excellent).
btw i dont understand why you all keep saying you are buying new ones every year, i have had my bose ones for nearly three years. and considering the way i treat stuff (ie crap) and places they have been (beach, humid locations, in the sun, snow, the floor...) and they work perfectly and still look newish
First of all, I used to own Bose for casual listening. But I didn't like their sound profile. It is too much emphasised bass. Moreover, for DJ or studio work they are unusable.
My point is, there are different HPs for different people. I don't think you deny that Bose has a very distinct listening experience. It is not about good and bad, it is about preference. And it doesn't make anyone a hater not liking your preference.

Amen. This is the most important thing to remember... With that being said, I still place my chips by the bet that you are paying too much money (for Bose products)...
