It's just like watching a cartoon but for adults. Why is this shown in CGI from a supercomputer?

I bet that they're treating this app as a beta for now, just to see how stuff works on the ATV. Soon we will see launches, real time stuff etc.
So cool! This actually just had a huge increase in my interest in upgrading from the last-gen Apple TV.
It's CGI, but still very cool. Hopefully they take this idea and run with it.
NASA are so awesome, it's too bad congress gimps them. It's not a partisan thing, either, it's that the contractors who build NASA's gear control congress. Thus the new shuttle replacement must use parts like the boosters from the space shuttle, because some influential congressperson's district needs the jobs. I understand the need for jobs but that is such an asinine way to design a spacecraft!

Yep. IT's a miracle that they got a design and they are able to stick with it.
fyi SLS is not simply a new Shuttle, it will be a mix of Apollo, Shuttle and whatever is needed to go to Mars.
Gosh, if only they could get the $ they need...
Yeah, I'm not optimistic that SLS will meet any useful goals for lift costs due to the design constraints, but we'll see...

Wow! I can't believe that's real! ...no, really, I don't believe it. The earth is flat and we've never been to the moon. Satalites don't exist. Everything is radio towers. Open your eyes. You only know what you've been told. You haven't experienced.
They have a live feed and a TV channel, both 24/7.

SO CGI is not real? The old shuttle was a glider but sounded like an airplane when landing? Solar power can cool and power the ISS with a skeleton crew doing little to no maintenance to keep it going forever with no problems. Can't you see all the satellites when you look at the moon at night going past it with your telescope? What about the globe in every classroom, what that's not real either? Come on.

They would love to do that too, but It takes time to generate beautiful artificial CGI worlds. Signed - Flat earther.

no, they won't need to - they don't use any UFO models in the animation - the objective is to suspend disbelief.

That's just condescending - it may not prove a FE but it doesn't prove a spinning globe model either. The fun of looking at the possibility of the earth not being a globe is how hard it is to prove the earth actually is a globe - it's actually easier and better science to say 'the earth is not a spinning globe' than 'the earth is a spinning globe' - the fun is in that realisation.

I could go on and on as to why they cut the live feed in a regular basis. I have been tuning into their ISS feed for years now and it always goes down when something good flies onto the screen if you know what I mean lol.

Without a doubt. They do it all the time with the ISS feed which I have tuned in pretty much 24/7.
NASA is a joke, Never A Straight Answer. And get ready for lots of photo shop,CGI, and spectacular renderings haha. That's all you are going to get from NASA. Anyone who thinks they will show an uncut 24/7 view of earth are crazy lol or just don't know the real NASA.
The earth is round. But it's completely hollowed out. Like a honeycomb. Again this is what I believe to be true, so just my opinion from research and homework.
I also believe there is a great huge hole near Antarctia, (research operation highjump). And yes there is crazy stuff living in the center of the earth. Again my thinking only.
