Native mail app iOS 9.2 strange occurance

Updated my ip6 two days ago, was checking my e-mail on my device today, and got a really weird heading on top of the screen, and then suddenly all my e-mails disappeared from one account. I have not deleted them manually, and have no limit synced in settings. What gives?
Any suggestions or ideas into this would be greatly appreciated.
