The native Mail app on iOS 13 GM is a dumpster fire! How is this considered a GM build? Contant problems with emails not showing, blank spaces where email should be, email badge count not accurate, etc. Closing out the Mail app in the switcher seems to fix the issue temporarily. I use Gmail and my work Exchange account, nothing too crazy.

Yup, I'm having the exact same issues. Kinda sucks for a GM; hopefully 13.1 fixes it

Beta or not - the performance of iOS13 is shockingly bad - I cant believe Apple did this... Cant use “its a beta” as the excuse... we are talking GM here... really really incredible they let this out in the wild.

They haven't. Unless you're a dev, you don't have it yet.

13.1 is improved, but it’s still buggy as heck. Searching for mail seems to take forever and messages appear late in notifications. I’ve already opened the mail app and can see the new mail and a notification will show up for a new mail. Really messy, hopefully it improves with 13.1 later betas.

This is why I was so surprised that Apple stopped working on 13.0. It wasn’t ready for final release and slapping GM on beta 8 seemed weird. It wasn’t ready to be a GM yet.

Technically GM and beta 8 are different builds.

Does the iOS 13 version of the mail app have push for gmail?
No such luck. No IMAP IDLE,No Push, No Fetch less than 15 minutes. It is all the same with mail app + Gmail.

At times, it seems that notifications are sent first and when the mail.app is opened, mails get downloaded/populated . I am on Google Apps IMAP.
IMAP IDLE for Gmail still not there.
Mark all as Read now requires 4 steps rather than 3 earlier.
So many issues related to Mail in 13.0.

Thinking about this i believe that push will work if you are on Wifi with Gmail as that was introduced in a previous iOS version, possibly iOS12, but on mobile data you are limited to the 15 mins fetch.

Wifi+ Charger plugged in+ Fetch schedule set to Automatic........and then change fetch back to 15 minutes when I am away from my charger.. Which idiot though about this, I wonder !

Went from 12.4.1 to 13GM on my XS Max. No issues with Mail. App is performant, no messages missing.
Interesting. I'm on 13.1 b3 and my Mail is buggy. Sometimes notifications don't come in, sometimes they do but silently, sometimes the inbox doesn't show the new mails until I exit and go back into the mailbox, sometimes I need to kill and re-open the Mail app.

I installed every beta. I wonder whether I have bugs from a previous beta version that haven't been backed out by installing the later ones.

Get spark and call it a day.
I don't like Spark. It has more features than the stock app but I personally don't need any of them, which makes the app look too "busy" for my use. Plus I'm happier with Apple having my IMAP passwords than Readdle.

And finally, I wish IDLE was implemented as it is on MacOS.

To be fair the issue has come about because Google stopped allowing Push for their email unless you pay for it. If they hadnt done this then we wouldnt have to settle for workarounds etc.

I did the same and only issue I'm having is that the Vip person list gets emptied on restart of the app.

I have a stuck email that no longer exists but is still visible in the mail app and cannot be deleted as it just reappears..

This has been observed, posted, and beat to death , numerous times already in virtually every iOS 13 thread

search function should be your friend

https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/ios-13-gm-―-bug-fixes-changes-and-improvements.2197176/

Yep, I saw that. I felt it was so bad it deserved it's own thread. Is that okay with you?

They haven't. Unless you're a dev, you don't have it yet.

Semantics....it's GM and will be in the hands of millions of users in two days.

Check out NuevaSync. $30/year for push Gmail is well worth it to me.
