Highly doubt whether this one has precision finding. Would like to see Apple release an AirTag in this form.

From their website:
The thinnest tracker ever fits right in your wallet. Find It Card features precise location tracking, long-lasting battery and a discreet profile so you can track your essentials smarter and sleeker.

Are we playing on words here or... ?

I reached out to Native Union and asked if the product has an Ultra Wideband chip and supports Precision Finding.

I was told it does not have an Ultra Wideband chip but that it does support Precision Finding.

Can both of those things be true at the same time?

I suppose I don't know enough about the technology…

How does it support precision location without the UW chip? Is this like how the iPad Mini will tell you if you're "getting closer" but doesn't provide an arrow?

Honestly, it's not a bad design, overall. I may still pick one up.

Or convert my Airtag into a card tag. I'm not sure if I want to spend the time doing that though.

I had the same conversation and even gave them a scenario (card in wallet in a room) with screenshots, because they didn't seem to understand what Precision Finding is. After "talking to the Product team" (ie 2 hours later), the support person came back to me with the following answer:

I think I will give it a try.

Report back once you have it in hand! I’m curious to see how it functions in the real world…

Please report back! I wish I can set a reminder to remember to come back to the thread.

Hi everyone
Follow-up: They cancelled my order without any explanation. I contacted support and got the following message:

" We were informed by our warehouse team that the item FINDIT-CARD-BLK is currently out of stock at our [...] warehouse. Unfortunately, our Supply team has confirmed that there’s no replenishment plan for this item at the moment. Because of this, your order was cancelled and a full refund has been issued. "

There will be no feedback on the product from me this time. And probably ever.

Mine just arrived today. I took a chance and here’s an update:

NO PRECISION FINDING!
The green “Find Nearby” icon that we have for AirTags (finding with an arrow) is not there for this accessory. Instead, it’s just the blue “Directions” icon that switches to the Maps app when selected.

The box itself just mentions “Works with Apple Find My” in a couple of spots, but doesn’t mention precision finding otherwise.

I’m a bit disappointed by the misdirection from the manufacturer and this article. But based on the responses customer service was providing, I don’t blame the site for the bad info.

On the positives, it has MagSafe charging that lasts 6 months. And it can play an audible sound - if it’s not going to have precision finding, at least it can play a sound to help find it. Decent volume too (you need to be within 150 ft to use the sound feature according to their manual). Because I’ve been really wanting something for my wallet anyway, it seems like a solid purchase for what it is and I’ll be keeping it. I think what we all hoped for just doesn’t exist yet.

I also received mine today, and concur with @darkside29 and their comments.

The map directions that it provides are not great. Currently it shows it being outside my house about 150 feet from me, when in fact it is on my table about 10 feet away. The noise is loud enough to be heard in the same room, but given the inaccuracy of the “circular error probability”, you should not assume that you will easily find it just by sound. I haven’t decided whether to keep it or not.

I have to say that now that I have the device myself, I’m very disappointed in the MacRumors editorial process that allowed readers to be misled by the manufacturer’s claims. I loath the expression “do better” but it might be appropriate in this case.
