Using the NBA app on a 4th generation Apple TV and a 4K Apple TV to access my Team Pass and NBA TV accounts. I am able to watch games using Team Pass without a problem. Recently, when watching a game using the NBA TV listing on the app the game stalls after a few minutes resulting in a blank screen with a spinning wheel. If I leave the app, go back in and then restart the game it works but again stalls after a few minutes. One Apple TV uses our home wireless with a strong signal, the other is hooked up using ethernet. Same problem on both. Have tried resetting the Apple TVs, deleting and reinstalling the NBA app, made sure the Apple TVs are up to date, etc. Works properly on the NBA app on our iPhones and iPads. Contacted NBA.com and have had them attempt to help me solve the problem and so far they are unable to do so. Anyone here experience this problem? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I don't have a solution for you, but this could be one of the many bugs that came with tvOS 13.

I really wish I could go back to tvOS 12, and I guess I will add iOS 12 to that wish list too.

Resurrecting this thread rather than starting a new one...

I’m having terrible problems with the NBA app on ATV4K. Constant buffering, terrible picture quality, crashes, the works. My internet speeds are fine, and the problems seem to stem from the NBA app. Anybody have any good workarounds for getting league pass streams up on ATV?

The only one I’ve come across is running it through YouTube TV (my folks back home subscribe so I have access). Problem is, they live in the market of the team I want to watch, hence LP blacks it all out. It makes me think there might be another way though, if there’s a free live TV app that can route league pass...I don’t know, but it’s making me really regret paying the NBA money.

seems to me this could be their app developers.
case in point, i noticed the NHL>com video replay is horrible on safari but great on edge
NBCsports was bad as well and cut to commercials during live EPL football games
SNY would run commercials during the first at bat were we missed many runs or strikeouts.
we pay a lot for these service and they won't employ qualified employees to make sure streams are streaming properly.
