Hi, I'm wondering if there is any way of tricking the NBA League Pass Mobile app into thinking I am logged on from a different city.

I am asking this because I live in Los Angeles and I want to be able to watch my local NBA teams on blackout dates.

Btw I have a jailbroken iPhone 3gs. All help is appreciated.

Yea, I would like to know this. I won't be able to watch local games all the time and would be nice to watch it wherever I go

I've been wanting to do this for such a long time with MLB At Bat. If we could figure this out, I'd be so grateful.

That's going to be a daunting task because the app actually uses the phones GPS to determine your local to blackout the games, it's not as simple as changing a zip code or area code.. there would have to be an app that can alter the gps settings..

Given all of the hacks that have been created (backgrounder, iblacklist etc) that "intercept" API calls to the phone, one could imagine that the API call to the GPS could be "hijacked" on an app-by-app basis to accomplish this.

Now, all we need is a Developer to do this. I know I would GLADLY pay $5.95 for this functionality :)

I'm all for trying to bypass your location to avoid blackouts, but I mean couldnt you just watch the games at home, or do all of you travel that much that you can watch games at home?

It's just nice to be at work and pull out my phone and be able to watch a little bit of the game.

League pass is $40 and thats per year. If you get a SlingBox and use it for the next 3-4 years it would be well worth it especially if you use it for more then just basketball.

Um, you know you are in the hacked section right. Think about it.

Anyone know how to get NBA mobile league pass to work with the TVouT app from cydia? whenever I connect it to my tv my iphone screen turns blank and cannot click on the games to start watching....?

Yeah, its called FakeLocation. It worked a few years ago for this app, but they got smart to it.
