Can this be right? I was just chatting on the phone with a friend who told me he was watching a NBA preseason game? Wasn't the NBA finals just a couple of weeks ago???? Don't they take time off anymore??? Does anyone at the NBA League offices know the meaning of the phrase "over saturation"?

EDIT: I Guess I shouldn't be surprised, the playoffs last 6 months.

"Win or go home! Eventually. One day. Well, maybe in time for the draft."

Yep...the NBA finals concluded on June 20th.

Heck, look at the NHL...their season concluded on June 19th and they started their regular season a week ago.

When the season is that long, how do you convince yourself that any one game matters?

You look at just about any year's final standings and quickly realize that a lot of games do matter. You often won't know until the end of the season whether a particular game mattered at the time, but the players, coaches and fans know that each victory is precious.

Look on the 'bright side' the NBA is back for another season of :D

Shootings @ Bars. Wife & girlfriend beatings. rape, limos full of coca....

I have a feeling a few players are going to look a little bit smaller this season. After all, didn't the USA get beaten by Greece in the world championships in the summer? ;)

Preseason games sound right now though, the league has kicked off in November for a few years now hasn't it?
