I want to get league pass premium, but the NBA TV app itself on Apple TV has yet to be updated. This is a little annoying considering the season starts in 3 days.

I know I can access it via the iPhone/Online app, but I'd rather watch it via Apple TV.

I'm wondering whether buying the premium subscription will unlock the features for the 2013/14 season or if the update will still come.

It's still showing the last game being Heat/Spurs from June this year.

have you tried contacting Apple?
 
worst case you can watch it in your iphone and airplay it to your ATV until they straighten out the app. thats how i watch it since canada doesnt have the app

Yeah I'll probably do that. It's just annoying because the xbox gametime app is fully up to date, as is the iOS one. Just seems strange why it's taking the ATV one so long to play catch up.
 
When I had it two years ago I think it did the same thing again (showing the last game being from the finals of Mavericks V Heat) I just assumed that was because of the lockout though. I didn't buy it last year and was about to purchase it this year, until I saw this thread. which made me second guess buying it.
 
Surely an update will come today or at the very latest tomorrow. Just can't get my head round why the app is so watered down compared with the iOS one.
 
I don't think the NBA has the chops for this sort of content delivery. I've read numerous complaints regarding the NBA and how it has handled its league pass program, the content they provide, billing, customer service responses... It's very disconcerting and has kept me from signing up.
