It is! Just tonight at the end of the episode one of the doctors got ran over by a truck. I mean it's alright to have a little drama, but ER is always about tragedy and never anything upbeat. Don't get me wrong; I happen to be one of those glass half empty type people that are never irritatingly bubbly, but a little bit of cheer once in awhile is good.
ER needs to have more cheerful romance and less tragedy. I thought 'Sam' was going to hit it off with that cop; or at least that's the way I would've written it.
