NE FL & Jacksonville, FL - St. John's Town Center Apple Store

Wow no one has posted from NE Florida?

I took the day off and I was planning on going to the Apple store around noon but I'm debating going earlier. I live 35 minutes or so away so it's not easy for me to just swing by to check out the lines.

Any other NE FL people? I know there are a bunch of NE FL Apple addicts on these boards from past experience :p
 
This is the closest apple store to me but it is still an hour away...and I don't get out of work until 5 so I am assuming they will be out by the time I could get up there.

If I remember I'll post here what the line looks like and ask the Apple people how much stock they have.
 
Has anyone heard if there will be a per person limit on the ipad 2s? I know for Ipad1 you could purchase 2...Hopefully it is the same for this release.

I might give them a call around 4 and see what is going on. Even Daytona is a 30 minute drive from me and it is the main weekend for Bike Week so I generally like to stay away from Daytona around this time of year.

If I call at 4 and they don't have a lot of people in line, I might head over there after work. Also, I am not flexible with the model that I want so I think my best bet is just keeping my online order and hopefully getting it by next Friday. I won't have a case or anything until the 22nd or 23rd anyway so it might be better to not pick it up at Best Buy. I am just going to be jealous when people posting from their iPad2s later tonight.

Yes please. I wasn't planning on going until about noon or so. I'm wondering if that will be a wise decision or not.

On the bright side if I can't get my iPad 2 today I'm just going to "settle" for a high end 15" MBP :D
 
A buddy just told me theres about 40 people in line now (11am). I wasn't going to head down until 2 but what the hell, I don't want to miss out :)
 
Yikes! 40 people at 11 am? I was planning to head over there around 3. Naivety. Thanks for the reports, guys!
 
Yea there are about 40 - 45 in line now. Most the people we talked to are buying 2 iPads so they may go fast.
 
I just drove by after visiting compusa and the lube was wrapped around the building. Reminds me of the reserve line for iPhone 4 launch. Everyone waiting in line good luck! Atleast it isn't July heat outside today. Hope you all get what you want!

Yea I'm next to the Victoria Secret around the corner in the SAME spot I was in for the reserve line for the iPhone 4 launch.
 
Got mine...we were the 4th in line and got in and out in about 35 minutes we did skip the personal setup...just had it activated.
