I got my call from Best Buy today, but I had already snagged one from a Target across town.
If anybody is interested in a 16gb wifi you can have my reservation copy. We can just meet up the Avenues best buy and pick it up.

I have to agree with my parents, they are now in Miami. I think they will try the Apple store in Orlando, does anyone know about their stock?

Seems that when they have some to sell in the mornings, they are units that arrived the previous day. No shipping on Sunday=No sales on Monday morning.
.They had a variety of models this morning at the Apple store. I got there at 7:30am and was about 20 people back in line. The model I wanted was gone by the time they got back to me. The online inventory checker saved the day however. I checked mid day and found one at Wal Mart. picked it up after work.

doesnt help me, but san jose target shows 16 and 32gb wifi black in stock right now. still looking for a white one for myself..

They had plenty of black and white wifi this morning. Was able to get my hands on a white one. Go about 730-8 and your almost guaranteed what you want.

I was able to get my 16gb black model today at the Target on San Jose Blvd. I used the online Target checker: http://www.ipad2locator.com/#32223 and found it in stock this afternoon. I'm writing this post from it.
Now I just need my Treegloo case and Phatntomskinz cover to come in and I'll be set!

Maybe it sounds strange, but I want my iPad 2 from an Apple Store. It sounds crazy to me to buy an iPad 2 at a Wall Mart or a Target. It's the same as buying my clothes at a Best Buy

Well I bought my 16GB Wifi Black yesterday from Target and I can promise you it's the same one the Apple store sells.
The one on San Jose Blvd. in Mandarin still has very few available this morning according to the inventory checker so if you want one I would recommend going fast before they're all gone.
Also, Target offers $50 3 year insurance on it if you buy it from them that covers all kinds of damage that might occur, even accidental. The only thing it doesn't cover is theft or if you lose the iPad. In order to get a replacement you have to have the physical iPad in hand, even if it's smashed and in pieces. I'm trying to get my wife's White 16GB Wifi from them as well just so I can get the $50 insurance, if it covers accidental damage you can't beat it.
target also had their credit card which gets you an extra 5% off (you can also do this with a target debit card which i believe pulls directly from your normal checking account. haven't looked into that one though.) saves you $25 on the 16. i'm waiting out target for the model i want for that reason and because waiting in line @ apple with a one and a half year old is not my kind of party.
