Nearly new imac , glitchy screen saver (lines)

Hi recently purchased a new 17" imac off apple.com , ive had it about 3 weeks now , today when the screen saver came on there was some kind of strange glitch i can only describe it as a horizontal line that kept on moving up vertically and when it reached the top it appeared at the bottom again and it kept repeating, is the screen faulty ? has this happened to anyone else ?😕 🙁

Does this keep happening all the time, or did it just happen that once?

My guess is that you are using the Flurry screensaver. I have a Core Duo 20" iMac and it does that as well. You are not alone. I just use a different saver. 🙂

Just tried Flurry on my 20" iMac and had the same issue. I dont use screensavers but whats the reason for this?

Yes its on the flurry screen saver, and it happens when the screen saver is showing , it doesn't show the lines when the screen saver isn't showing, my mac is a 17" one , maybe it is some kind of program glitch ?🙁
