Need a cable for this model

My business is having a guy come in to do a presentation and has these ports as shown in the picture on his older mbp.

My wife and I have a first gen macbook 1.83 Ghz CD. We use mini dvi (or mini display?) to connect to tv. Is that the same port?

Our cable also has the long skinny part, like the one closest to the screen, but is not exactly the same. We bought the cables at the Apple store in 06.

you just need a standard DVI cable, so you can use the cable from your MacBook, just without the adapter.

you just need a standard DVI cable, so you can use the cable from your MacBook, just without the adapter.

Assuming your cable to the tv uses a DVI on at least one end.
