Need a free DVD burning app

Need a free DVD burning app that will convert .avi files so they will play on my DVD player.

first convert the avi to another format like mp4 with isquint. Then, use iDVD to burn them on a disc.

Another option is to install Perian. Once installed, if QT can play the .avi, then iDVD will be able to burn it.

Depending on your DVD player, you may not have to convert the AVI file at all. I have two Philips players that support DivX/Xvid. I just burn the file to cdr or DVDr and my DVD play works fine.

Actually it looks like Burn can convert the AVI to standard DVD-Video?

Thanks dude, I have a crappy 40 or 50 philips DVD player lol would it work with that?
