Need a good terminal emmulation program

I have a 17" Mac Book Pro comming soon have a couple questions.

1. A good to great terminal emmulation program.
2. A good USB to serial adapter that works.

I do a lot of Cisco hardware configurations any help would be great.

I tried screen via terminal. Hated it.
Tried ZTerm. Hated it. Couldn't do x-modem transfers with my switches.

I just stopped trying and went with a fusion + win 7 + tera term setup using the prolific serial chipset. Works great.
