Need advice about seeting up mac for recording

    Ok so iv started a Music Technology course at college and want to start setting up my stuff so im going to buy a Macbook Pro, probably Logic 8 but what else will i need i think i will need an Audio interface as i will be recording using a mic next to my guitar amp.

    Can somone just list everything i neeed :D

    Get something like a Presonus Firebox for an interace. A mic or two. If you go check out a music store like Guitar Center they have all this there.

    I have some mics just need the Interface is the Presonus Firebox a good one? i was looking at an edirol one but im not sure which ones are good.

    I just watched a video for the Presonus Firebox on there website and it seemed like it was meant for cubase :S it said install the disks you get with the Firebox then run cubase and went through how to use it in cubase :S will it work in Logic 8?
