need advice new to iphone

I have just purchased an Iphone 4s plugged it into my mac and it downloaded all my email contacts from my apple id,i don't want or need these how do i delete them.

Another question-i had a HTC with a normal size sim and the phone had all my phone contacts,the holder sent with the iphone will not fit into the sim slot so i can't copy my contacts is there another way of doing this.

You can cut your sim with a sim cutter down to microsim size.
Then import your contacts to your iphone.
Go to settings/mail/import sim contacts.
