Need advice on cutting down sim card for iphone 4...

I'm getting the 4S and giving my GF my 4 but she has a iphone 3G and just a normal sim...how does she go about cutting the sim so it fits in the 4 and actually make it work?

can she take it to a place to sort out?

Go to AT&T and ask the rep to get a microsim for her. There might be a small charge(might!) but it's a lot simpler to do that rather than playing around with cutting a SIM.

It's a pay as you go sim...and she doesn't want to have to change numbers so wanted to know what part to cut really.

Buy a micro-sim cutter on eBay. I did and it works a treat!

I didn't think "Pay as you go" sims worked in the iPhones.... Your best bet is to get the microsim cutter off amazon for 5 bucks..

Why doesn't it? always thought they did....remember vodafone stating so a while back.

it comes in handy having some regular SIM adapters, just in case you ever want/need to go back to a regular SIM phone
