So I finally got my MacBook Pro 15 inch that was BTO (2.6ghz, 460, 512gb), and it came with a chip in the aluminum. I waited almost 2 months to get this laptop. And so that means if I go and exchange it for another BTO, ill most likely have to wait again for it to come from china again, and I really don't want to do that. So my question to you guys is, should I just opt for the base model 2.6ghz?? I only did the 460 gpu upgrade cause I like to play some games here and there such as: CS:GO or WoW. Other than that I don't play anything really gpu intensive. In terms of the 512gb ssd upgrade I did, was just to future proof it. However, I know very well I will never go beyond the base models 256gb. I don't need that much space. should I opt for the base model and just save the 400, or do you think future proofing the laptop is worth spending the extra 400. Also, does the 460 gpu get hotter and use more power than the 450? if so that could help make my choice easier as I would opt for the 450 to get some extra battery life.
