I just sold my 2008 15 unibody today for 1050 and am looking to get a new
2011 15 MVP. I've decided on the 2.2 ghz as I want to spec out the gfx card. Im also going with the hi res screen. However, I'm undecided about selecting the 7200 rpm 500 gb or the 128 gb SSd. Id prefer a faster hd than 750 gb hd at 5200 Rpm. I store my media on external hard drives anyway. Problem is o need to boot camp the computer to use windows for engineering programs and .net progamming. Hence I think the 128 gb is goin to be too small. WhT would you suggest, get the 7200 rpm and wait til larger ssdd come down in price or get the SSd for extra 100 bucks? Also is it possible to have both a hd and a SSd in the Mbp? I think internal hard drive space is going to be needed less wheb we get tb external hard drives

Nice that potentially is a good compromise. Keep the 500 7200 rpm and rip out the optical. However I'm sure this would void the apple warranty and apple care terms. Can't afford to risk that on 2.5 k laptop
